The party drink
Margarita is a tequila-based cocktail family made with a shaker or mixed in an ice blender. The muddled version is known as a “frozen margarita”. The classic cocktail is officially recognized by the international bartenders’ association. The popular cocktail has even been awarded a glass to its name, where the cocktail is usually served when the rim of the glass is coated with a crown of salt.
Ingredients:
- 3.5 cl Tequila
- 2 cl Cointreau
- 1.5 cl Freshly squeezed lime juice
Preparation:
- Pour all ingredients into shaker with ice.
- Shake well and strain into cocktail glass rimmed with salt
- Served: Straight up; without ice
- Standard garnish: Cocktail glass rimmed with salt, lemon slice
- Drinkware: Margarita glass
